Peninsula Bridge Centenary

It’s hard to beleive the Peninsula Bridge in Ngatimoti is 100 years old! The bridge was first opened by the Hon. R. Mackenzie, the MP for Motueka in 1913.

On 6 July 2013 Lassie turned up in all her splendor joined by a 1928 Dodge Victory, a Model T and a 1913 Unic among others to help with the celebrations. Locals from the district gathered to share stories and a cup of tea. Overall it was a wonderful day. We hope the bridge stands for at least another hundred years!
